Fon and Tor, a married couple, opened their first-ever Thai restaurant in a northern suburb of Adelaide. Tor is a Thai chef with over fifteen years of experience, while Fon runs front-of-house. It started from a simple problem their neighbours faced: there wasn't a single Thai restaurant in the area, and friends were always complaining they had to drive far for good Thai food, so the couple decided to do something about it. They chose the spot because it felt like home, and named the restaurant after a Thai greeting that means 'have you eaten yet?'. The menu is built for both those who avoid chilli and those who love bold heat, so everyone can share in the Thai way. Now the two are learning their regulars by name, waving from the counter between plates of stir-fry and hot curry.
