จากนักเรียนไทยในซิดนีย์ สู่เจ้าของร้านใน Adelaide — เส้นทางของ 3 ครอบครัว

Khun Aom and Khun Ek flew from Bangkok to study in Sydney in 2007. While studying, they also worked part-time in cafés and restaurants, gaining experience along the way. When they came to visit Adelaide in 2009, they found the whole city had hardly any authentic Thai restaurants at all, so they saw an opportunity and moved to open their own place in 2011. Two other families followed a similar path — one couple built up experience at a five-star hotel in Sydney before moving to open a restaurant on Hutt Street, and two cousins, former students from Bangkok, came to open an Isan restaurant on O'Connell Street. Everyone gave the same reason: they wanted to escape the rush and cost of living of Sydney to live at a slower pace in Adelaide. (Adapted from a feature in The Adelaide Review, Sep. 2018)
